How to select a wood type: If you plan on painting the product, we recommend Paint Grade Maple; For other types of finishing (stain, laquer, oil, etc.) please select a stain grade wood.

Additional information

Any of our patterns can be cut into wood up to 1” thick and up to 48” x 96” overall size. Our wood registers are available in any wood species, in both paint and stain grades. We also accept wood from our customers. Please call for more information.

The standard for wall and ceiling applications is to use ¼” paint grade Maple. These can be surface mounted or installed into our flush mount frames and are ready to be painted to match your wall color.

The standard for floor applications is ¾” wood with at least ¼” metal backing secured to the wood for extra support. Thicker metal will be needed for larger floor registers.
